School Kit Collection

All congregations of our Synod have been asked to collect materials for School Kits. The kits will be put together by Confirmation students in the Synod at their annual MARKED! event. After the school kits are assembled, they are sent for distribution worldwide through Lutheran World Relief. Each kit will contain the following:

  • 4 -70-sheet notebooks of wide or college ruled
  • 1- 30 centimeter ruler
  • 1- hand-held pencil sharpener
  • 1-blunt scissor
  • 5-#2 unsharpened pencils
  • 5-black or blue ball point pens (no gel pens)
  • 1-box of 16 or 24 crayons
  • 1-2 inch pencil eraser

The Synod also suggests collecting the following items for local schools: hand sanitizer, boxes of tissues, Clorox wipes, folders, pens/pencils, erasers, stickers, and granola bars.
